Student Travel Awards and Early Career Travel Grants
The ASLO board recently voted to incorporate additional funding to support students and early career professionals from developing countries. These funds are in addition to generous financial support already in place for students and early career professionals who are members of ASLO.
ASLO Student Travel Grant Application
ASLO student members, including student members from developing countries, are invited to apply for a student travel grant. Upon registration and abstract submission, students will be offered the opportunity to apply for a Student Travel Award to help defray the cost of travel and/or registration for the meeting. To be eligible, applicants must be an ASLO student member, and the application must be completed at the same time as the meeting registration and abstract submission. Travel awards will be paid in US dollars only. The information collected on the application will be used to weight applicants in a randomized drawing for travel grants. If you have any questions, please email the Student Board Members: Ngozi Margaret Oguguah, firstname.lastname@example.org or Camille Gaynus, email@example.com.
ASLO Early Career Travel Grant Application
A limited number of travel grants will be available for ASLO early career members to defray the cost of registration and/or travel to the meeting in San Juan. Early career members from developing countries are encouraged to apply. ASLO early career travel award applications must be submitted at the same time as the meeting registration and abstract submission and payment of both fees. The application requires those interested to provide information about their current funding situation and the need for funds. To be eligible, these should all be received in accordance with all meeting deadlines. Travel awards will be paid in U.S. dollars only. For more information, please send an email to Hans-Peter Grossart at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please continue to check the website for more information regarding the availability of travel awards for this meeting. Please note that you must be a current ASLO Student Member, current ASLO Early Career Member, or an ASLO Developing Country Student Member to apply for either travel grant.
