The PhD positions in biological oceanography are available
within The Nansen Legacy project, a project that aims at an
integrated perspective on climate and ecosystem change, from
physical processes to living resources in the northern Barents Sea.
Applicants are asked to apply to one of these three topics: 1) Sea
ice and pelagic primary production with molecular mapping of
primary producers, 2) vertical flux in different ice regimes and
seasons, with focus on pelagic-benthic coupling, or 3) population
dynamics and productivity of zooplankton (main focus on copepods)
in different seasons.
