One PhD studentship in Marine Geology is available in Dr.
Xiangli Wang lab at the University of South Alabama starting August
2018. Research and classes will be in the Dauphin Island Sea Lab.
Wang’ group focuses on trace metal cycling and isotope
geochemistry. Projects range from paleoceanographic reconstruction
to metal contamination in coastal areas. Research facilities
include a Thermo Finnigan Neptune MC-ICP-MS for metal isotope
measurement, Agilent LA- ICP-MS for trace element concentration
measurement, as well as other instruments for conventional proxies
