Up to three MS positions are available for Fall 2019 to investigate microbial interactions in freshwater cyanoHABs in the Biology Department at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, USA. Students will be guaranteed a stipend and summer support throughout the two year program. Students will have opportunities for international field work and conference attendance, as well as teaching and mentoring experience.
Applicants should have a B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Experience in microbial culturing techniques, molecular biology, and/or bioinformatics is preferred. Interested applicants should contact Morgan Steffen via email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
