The Scientific Program

The scientific program for the ASLO 2005 Summer Meeting will include plenary lectures and special and regular sessions for oral and poster presentations. The scientific program will have a new format while in Spain. On Monday, the plenary address will be followed by a coffee break to encourage conversation and connections among scientists. However, Tuesday through Thursday, the program will open with the award recipient talk and plenary address followed by three different poster sessions (one each day) and coffee service. Concurrent sessions will follow the rest of the day. Friday, the last day of the meeting, the day will open with a plenary address, followed by coffee service and concurrent sessions for the remainder of the day.

Special sessions have been proposed by ASLO members to direct attention to specific subject areas. The organizing committee also has created contributed session titles to be more inclusive of the full scope of aquatic sciences. Please continue to check the conference web site for up-to-date information.

Abstracts of papers presented during the ASLO 2005 Summer Meeting will be published in the conference abstract book that will be handed out at the conference. Abstracts are currently available on the conference web site for viewing and will be archived on the ASLO web site following the meeting.
