your own PC! You can also join the discussions by sharing your
thoughts on the IIASA Blog at www.iiasa.ac.at/blog during the
conference.

IIASA scientists will present their latest work on global population
change, natural resource scarcity and energy and technology. This
year, 16 IIASA scientists contributed to the report of the Inter-
Governmental Panel on Climate Change, recipient of the Nobel Peace
Prize.

Addressing these problems through cross-cutting scientific research
is a major aim of IIASA, an international research institute, based
in Austria since 1972. This 35th anniversary conference, held in
cooperation with the Austrian Foreign Ministry, will be addressed by
Austria's President Heinz Fischer, as well as by the Science Minister
Johannes Hahn and the Foreign Ministry's State Secretary, Hans Winkler.
