NOTE: These 2 sessions are NOT listed in the AGU program book!!!
GET-TOGETHER FOR INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDENTS AND EARLY CAREER GRADUATES
* Sunday, December 10
* 17:00 - 18:30
* Moscone West Level 2 Foyer
AGU won't allow us to advertise a specific time or space to meet
during their opening reception on Sunday Night. However, we would
like to get folks together early in the meeting to network. Jenny
Baeseman, a colleague who is working with me on the New Generation of
Polar Researchers project for the International Polar Year (IPY), and
I will plan to plant ourselves somewhere at the AGU reception to
serve as a 'point of contact'. We will be happy to answer questions
about IPY activities for students and early-career polar researchers,
the DISCCRS and DIALOG initiatives for interdisciplinary graduates.
We will also serve as an informal meeting place for past DIALOG/
DISCCRS symposium participants, students and recent PhD grads
interested in interdisciplinary work. Look for a 4' inflatable
penguin that Jenny will be carrying :)
If you aren't familiar with DIALOG or DISCCRS, please see:
