Early Career Workshop:
Getting Your Research Funded
Monday, 9 June 2008, 12:15-2pm in the Brown Room at the Conference Center
This workshop is targeted to early career (less than 10 years since PhD) members of ASLO as well as student members. Come hear from experienced researchers about NSF (U.S.) and NSERC (Canada) panels. Advice on grant writing for these national funding agencies as well as state agencies will be discussed at several round tables. Hear from experts including John Downing, Alan Tessier, and Warwick Vincent and get your research funded! Grab your lunch and come to the Brown Room. Soft drinks and cookies will be available.
Early Career Mixer
Monday, 9 June, 6:30-7:30pm at the Delta Hotel, Salon C.
This meeting is an informal reception for all those in the early stages of their careers. Beer, wine, soft drinks and light snacks will be served.
