Access by Road

Nice interconnects with major European cities via an extensive motorway network. The city is linked by the A8 La Provençale to Aix-en-Provence on the west and the Italian border on the east. It takes approximately 9 hours to drive from Paris to Nice by motorway. There is a motorway exit at a 10 min drive from the Acropolis convention center.

Local transportation

The ideal way of discovering the town is simply to forget the car, use public transport and walk! There is an extensive bus and tramway system in the city at a very cheap rate (1.00 €/ $2.00 USD, connections valid for 74 min). The convention center is next to a tram station and to the main bus station. Buses are also very cheap in the area. For example trips to the ski resorts located about 100 km from the city also cost 1.00 €/ $2.00 USD (one way). In most parts of Nice, there are numerous car parks: take the time to note the different rates for car parks that are often not that much further away from your destination. A 5,000 m2 esplanade and a covered car park, both located next to Acropolis, provide parking for a large number of vehicles including buses and coaches. The Acropolis car park has 2,000 spaces.
