In July of 2012, ASLO will convene its biennial Aquatic Sciences Meeting on the shores of ancient Lake Biwa, Otsu, Japan, and we invite you to participate in this “Voyage of Discovery.” This dialogue among limnologists and oceanographers from the West and East will be an opportunity to share new knowledge, insights, and discoveries about the world’s lakes, rivers and oceans, and to address the many challenges that these ecosystems are now facing.
The final program, which will include the titles of accepted abstracts, will be posted on the Web site approximately four to six weeks prior to the meeting. A printed copy of the program will be distributed at the conference.
Abstracts of papers presented during the meeting will be published on the conference Web site as well as archived on the ASLO Web site following the meeting.
ASLO invites the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentations. In order to have your abstract considered for acceptance, you must submit before the abstract deadline of 1 March 2012. Abstract and registration fees are due at the time of submission and are payable in U.S. Dollars. Membership in ASLO (new and renewal) can also be completed with your registration and abstract submission. We hope that you will join ASLO and take advantage of the discounted registration fees for members! To support and encourage participation, ASLO has made a commitment to help subsidize the cost of on-site childcare at this meeting. Student and Early Career Professional travel grants will also be awarded.
