| Statement of Interest |
| |
I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Oahu. My interests involve the study of Earth's physical, chemical, biological, and human systems which led me to pursue a B.S degree in Global Environmental Science. Currently, I work for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Association (NOAA) under The National Marine Fisheries Service, which entails research on the Spiny and Slipper lobster populations in the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands.
On my spare time I enjoy being involved with local environmental issues and I am part of the Marine Option Program at UH.
I choose to study this field because I believe that it is important to be aware about the world’s scientific, social, and political disturbances. By educating the public and our peers we can learn how to manage the global system in a sustainable way.
