Welcome to the Association for Sciences in Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO). ASLO's mission is to foster outstanding science at all levels. Members receive a host of benefits including access to all of ASLO's outstanding publications, the e-Lecture series, and reduced registration fees at our internationally renowned meetings. Reduced membership is available to students, early career scientists, and scientists from emerging countries.

Early Career Scientist Membership

Early Career refers to non-students who have received their highest degree within the last 10 years, or are pre-tenure if in a tenure-track position.

Student Membership

Student Membership refers to all students enrolled in either undergraduate or graduate programs.

Scientists from emerging countries:

In an effort to increase membership and participation of aquatic scientists from developing nations, ASLO offers reduced membership and meeting registration fees for scientists and students from 152 developing nations as defined by the International Statistical Institute.
