Welcome to ASLO!
For more than 50 years, ASLO has been a leading professional organization for researchers and educators in the field of aquatic science, working to provide for their needs at all phases of professional development. ASLO is best known for its highly rated research journals, its interdisciplinary meetings and its special symposia. The society supports increasingly important programs in public education and outreach and public policy. It strives to encourage student participation and to increase opportunities for minorities in the aquatic sciences.
News from the Aquatic Sciences
- Ecological Dissertations in the Aquatic Sciences (Eco-DAS) 2012
- Eco-DAS X will be held 8-13 October, 2012, at the University of Hawai`i. Invited participants, mentors and representatives of federal funding agencies will meet for six days to present and discuss state of the art research in the ecology of aquatic ecosystems, to strengthen existing collaborations and form new partnerships, and to discuss the most challenging issues in squatic ecology today. The proceedings of the symposium will be published as an open-access, web-based book. For more information, see the Eco-DAS website. Application deadline is 31 March 2012.
