aoa_webAPECS have teamed up with AMAP to deliver a panel discussion for early career scientists during the AMAP Arctic Ocean Acidification Conference, May 7th 2013, 16:00 – 17:00. The topic of the panel will be “Ocean Acidification in the future Arctic: From science to policy – tips for early career scientists”.

When it comes to the consequences of climate change and ocean acidification, few are more dramatic than in the Arctic Ocean. Within this unique environment, the implications of scientific knowledge and understanding have important consequences for policy through international relations, economic growth and resources utilisation. But how does, and how should, scientific research influence policy?

The session will include introductions from a panel of five high-level scientists and policy-makers, and will be open to the floor for questions about their experiences and impressions. Come along (panel will be open) to find out more and join in the discussion.
