MS or PhD Assistantship in Environmental Engineering
Graduate Research Assistantship in Atmospheric Deposition
and Water Quality at Kansas State University
There is an immediate opening for a MS or PhD level Graduate
Research Assistant in the Department of Civil Engineering at
Kansas State University to study interactions between air
pollution, atmospheric deposition and water quality in alpine
environments. This interdisciplinary research focuses on the
sources and fate of organic (carbon) and inorganic (N and P)
constituents in atmospheric deposition and will be conducted
at the Niwot Ridge Long Term Ecological Research Station in
the Rocky Mountains near Boulder, Colorado. Ideally, the
successful applicant will have broad interests that span
engineering, hydrology, and ecology. Interest in conducting
fieldwork and designing experiments is desirable. Interested
students should have an undergraduate degree in
Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
Please send your CV, a list of three references (along with
contact phone and email), and a cover letter (1-page or less)
summarizing your qualifications and research interests to Dr.
Natalie Mladenov at mladenov@ksu.edu. Application
requirements can be found at
http://www.ce.ksu.edu/grad/apply.
Preferred start date is August 2012. Funding is available to
