The Postdoctoral Associate will assist Principal Investigators in the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences in conducting field and laboratory research on fish and shellfish populations in Great South Bay, NY. The incumbent will prepare for and conduct trawl surveys, supervise graduate and undergraduate students in the field and lab, manage collected data, carry out statistical analyses and ecosystem modelling, and participate in the preparation of publications and proposals. The position requires a Doctoral Degree and familiarity with field sampling, data management, and advanced statistical analyses. Applicants with a Ph.D in fisheries ecology or a related field and experience with advanced statistical procedures such as GLMs, GAMs, and spatial statistics are preferred.
