Lecturer - Marine Microbial Cell Biology

The Department of Biology and Marine Biology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) invites applications for a non-tenure track position starting August 2014. The successful candidate is expected to have expertise in one or more of the following: high-resolution cellular imaging, molecular biology and/or electrophysiology.  Preference will be given to candidates interested in marine phytoplankton and microzooplankton. Duties include teaching within the candidate’s area of expertise, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and working collaboratively with students and faculty to facilitate applied learning in marine microbial cell biology and to support the UNCW Microscopy Facility in the Department of Biology and Marine Biology. This is a nine-month, open-ended lecturer position renewable on an annual basis. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Biology or a related discipline.
