The Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science is seeking applications for a Ph.D.-level Sedimentologist/Stratigrapher to fill a nine-month, tenure-earning appointment at the Assistant Professor level to begin as soon as August 2013.
The ideal candidate will be able to combine field and quantitative methods to address research in basin analysis, sediment transport, sequence-stratigraphy and/or sedimentary geochemistry. Collaborative research with current departmental strengths in marine geology, climatology-paleoclimotology, geochemistry, hydrogeology, and structure/tectonics is encouraged.
The position involves research, teaching (at the graduate and undergraduate level, specifically in the areas of Sedimentation/Stratigraphy and Basin Analysis) and service.
