A Ph.D. graduate student or post-doctoral researcher position in the areas of Aquatic Geochemistry and Biogeochemistry is available from March 1, 2013 in the research group of Dr. Alexey Kamyshny. Our research interests are to study the sulfur cycle in modern and ancient oxygen depleted aquatic systems with an emphasis on the origins, fate and isotopic composition of intermediate sulfur species. The project is strongly field-oriented. International driver license and commitment for field work in Israel and abroad as well as good written and oral English skills are required. An ideal candidate should have experience in sampling of sediments and water column, as well as in chromatography and mass-spectrometry. Experience in using a glove bag and standard wet chemistry techniques is desirable. Appointment will require teaching assistantship (in English). Project duration is 2 (PostDoc reseracher) to 4 (Ph.D. student) years.
