Responsibility: This position will be involved in research projects examining environmental cycling of mercury in natural and contaminated ecosystems. The position is expected to participate in supervision of undergraduate and graduate students, grant proposal preparation, and publication of research results in peer-reviewed journals.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in biogeochemistry, ecotoxicology or related field. A background on ecosystem processes is preferred. Excellent graduate training, good publication record, experience with field research, and a strong background in analytical chemistries are preferred. Effective communication skills, ability to work independently, and demonstrated creativity are highly desirable.
Salary: Commensurate with research experience.
Term: The position is a full-time, one-year appointment, with possibility of renewal for another year upon satisfactory performance.
