The University of Akron is searching for a Research Assistant to conduct biogeochemical research activities for the Department of Geosciences in support of a number of ongoing and future research projects. The optimal candidate will be well versed in geochemical laboratory techniques and instrumentation. There is potential for the applicant to travel and participate in a variety of field expeditions. Assist with planning, designing and performing laboratory experiments and/or research projects under the supervision of a faculty member. Applicant must be able to multi-task working on a number of different projects and assignments on a day-to-day basis, and must be able to work independently.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Geology, Biology or a closely related field. Preference will be given to someone who possesses a Masters Degree.
