We seek a scientist with expertise in acoustic-trawl survey methods and quantitative analysis of forage fish population dynamics. Interest in predator-prey relationships (seabird/marine mammal numerical response/bio-energetic modeling) and ecosystem approaches to fisheries (EAF) desirable. Specific tasks: key leadership role in team investigating predator-prey dynamics and EAF in the California Current, analysis of acoustic-trawl survey datasets and production of regional to local forage biomass estimates, writing and publication of results in the primary literature, presentation at national conferences, supervision of assistant (acoustics technician), proposal writing.
