



The Institute for Great Lakes Research at Central Michigan University (CMU) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research position in the group of Dr. Anthony Chappaz (GEM Lab website: http://people.cst.cmich.edu/chapp1a/GEM_Lab_Website/GEM_La

The highly motivated and enthusiastic candidate will primarily assist on a collaborative project with the University of California Riverside and the Arizona State University that is funded by the National Science Foundation. This research seeks to improve our understanding of the geochemistry of paleo-redox proxies (e.g. Molybdenum). The successful candidate will be based at CMU. This Postdoctoral Research position is awarded for a minimum of one-year period and may be renewed up to a maximum of two years.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should have a recent PhD in geosciences, environmental sciences, chemistry or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trace metal geochemistry and familiarity with ICPMS is highly desirable. Additionally experience with analytical methods in isotopic geochemistry (MC-ICP-MS), trace metal speciation (HPLC-ICP-
MS), LA-ICP-MS or XAFS techniques would be advantageous.
