Postdoc-Ecological Stoichiometry
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral fellowship in the Global COE program “Center for ecosystem management adapting to global change” at Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan. The fellow will be responsible for developing field and/or lab studies on population/community responses to environmental changes from the viewpoint of ecological stoichiometry and for organizing an international workshop in conjunction with GCOE members. The contract starts on the earliest possible date after October 2008 and ends on March 31, 2010 with possible extensions until March 31, 2013. Annual salary is about 5 million JPY (before tax and benefits, commuter expenses are included). Travel expense for taking up the position will be provided (based on the regulation of Tohoku University). To ensure research activities, the fellow will be provided with a fund of one to two million JPY/year depending on research quality. Applicant review will begin 20 Sept 2008 and continue until the position is filled.
